Green screen studio and sound stage in Kansas City

2,000 square feet in Overland Park: a green-screen cyc, a working kitchen, a living room and an LED truss set, lit and ready to shoot at a moments notice.

The sets

Four sets, one sound stage

Each one lit and dressed, with everything producers need to create high end content.

A presenter on the green-screen stage seen on a camera monitor, with soft boxes, a jib-mounted camera and a ladder behind him

Green screen and cyc wall

Lit and ready to shoot around the clock: a 20 by 30 ft, 90-degree cyc, 12 ft tall, with the floor painted green as well, so we can shoot virtually anything you can imagine in front of it. Well, maybe not an airplane.

Kitchen set

A fully working kitchen: bronze brushed-metal appliances, a movable island with a gas cooktop, a double oven, a dishwasher and walnut-stained cabinetry, set up to be dressed for any theme. Lit with LED, under-counter lighting and soft LED sources for talent, with a PTZ camera mounted directly above the cooktop for the overhead shot of what is for dinner.

The living room set, lit and dressed with sofas

Living room set

Configured to match the home you have in mind: family time in front of the TV, Arty’s World, a warm interview. It has even been dressed as a Schlage workshop. LED lit all the way round, on a computer-controlled dmx lighting system.

LED truss set

Trussing on both sides of an 85-inch touchscreen that can show animated logos, pictures, websites or a live Zoom feed. DMX-controlled LEDs match the colors of any brand, and multiple LED soft sources light the talent without touching the color behind them. Built for camera, livestreams and virtual events.

Direct answers throughout. Where a proper estimate is the only honest response, we say so plainly.

Yes. Real Media rents each set at 9101 Barton Street in Overland Park on its own, lit and ready, for your own team, and we’ll supplement where you need us to. Or our crew will plan, light, shoot and cut it. Tell us which you need on our contact form, and we will quote it either way.

Yes. The studio is at 9101 Barton Street in Overland Park, easy to reach, with plenty of parking. Load-in is easy: the dock door loads directly onto the stage. Tell us what you are bringing, and ask about anything else on the tour.

Yes. On Real Media’s sound stage in Overland Park, the kitchen cabinets are set up to be decorated to match a theme or style, and the living room is reconfigured for each shoot; it has even been dressed as a Schlage workshop. The truss set’s LEDs are DMX-controlled, so the colors match the brand.

Real Media’s kitchen set in Overland Park is a fully working kitchen: bronze brushed-metal appliances, a movable island with a gas cooktop, a double oven, a dishwasher and walnut-stained cabinetry. It is lit with LED, under-counter lighting and soft LED sources for talent, with a PTZ camera mounted directly above the cooktop for the overhead shot.

A cyclorama is a wall that curves into the floor with no visible corner, so the background reads as one continuous surface. Real Media’s is 20 by 30 ft with a 90-degree curve, 12 ft tall and painted green, which is what lets an editor replace the background cleanly.
